On 22 Feb 2019, a construction worker was killed in a tipper truck accident at Singapore Changi East worksite. Apparently, he was on the left of a tipper truck when the tipper truck was making a left turn at a T-junction and knocked him down.
A tipper truck, or for that matter any big truck, due to it's bigger size means larger blind spots. It is crucial for both the driver and road users (especially pedestrians and cyclists) to be mindful of the blind spots so as to prevent accident from happening. Watch the video below.
