Heads up long post!π
Very rare from me but extremely important.
I received quite a number of PMs and WA messages asking what business am I currently expanding in Batam, Indonesia.
So here we go.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
I am moving on to the next stage of my entrepreneurship journey from running a training business towards investing and diversifying into other industries.
I am firstly blessed, and proud to introduce STAR International Ventures PL, and PT STAR International Ventures.
We pride ourselves to be the link for business friends from Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai plus individuals who are seeking opportunities and growth in Indonesia.
I saw a gap. I constantly hear our friends in Singapore expressing interest to diverse their business interest overseas but it is hard to find someone they can trust to act as liaison for them.
So here I am.
Why I chose to start with Batam?
1. Batam is strategically located between Singapore and Malaysia. It always has a constant flow of internal and external visitors. Tourism is back!
2. A booming state with lots of big names entering. Just ask ourselves, if Batam has no spending power, how would a big hotel like Marriot sustain themselves there?
3. Coming back to the spending power, it is much higher now amongst the locals.
4. Low overheads in terms of rental and manpower cost. Imagine this, what if you can sell food at the same price as what you are selling in Singapore but your overheads there is only 1/3 of the total overheads cost in Singapore. what does that equates to? Exactly, higher profit margins.
5. I saw their blueprint of turning Batam into a business town, with lots of big name organisations setting base there and one of the biggest convention centre in South East Asia that is currently being built there. Why? What's the purpose? Who are they targeting?
I saw opportunities the previous time when I was there for almost 6 months. I built a solid network and made preparations to execute.
And the time is now for full ex*****on after I saw my returns for the past 1 year investing in the opportunities there.
While there are many opportunities in Batam, I have decided that I am not going to rush into everything but take things slowly and build fully on each opportunity before moving on to the next.
So I start with F&B establishments.
Not many know that I have quietly been investing in the food truck there and also 2 Kebab outlets.
I spent time observing and analysing the returns, it was very encouraging, so encouraged that I decided to go "all in" into the F&B scene in Batam.
We are also humbled by the fact that both the local and national media picked up on our efforts especially in helping the locals with employment and have been giving us lovely write ups. We are very thankful for that.
Thank you for those who have placed trust in me and indicated their intention to join me on this journey and expansion.
I will be meeting you soon to share how we can partner up and how you will own the outlets under your name in our "co-partnership franchisee" programme. We will be sharing the profits from these outlets.
Apart from F&B, we have more things in store. Let's connect soon and we can get the discussions going.
