'The latin root of the word silence is desinere, meaning “stop”. The type of stopping at the roots of silence is that which enables an individual to take the sensory measure of the world. We all crave noise somewhere, sometime in our lives; but we’ve swung the balance so far in the direction of loudness, and stripped ourselves of so many oases of quiet, that we’re losing both the will and ability to listen to what’s actually out there.’

We’re excited to present ‘Lustre’, a new lamp soon to be featured at the MAKE: me(n)tal exhibition, part of the People of Design Showcases Series.

Inspired by falling leaves and petals, *Lustre* reimagines metal as delicate and ethereal. By experimenting with discarded aluminum shavings, we’ve transformed the material in a way that defies its usual immaculate and machined quality, offering a light and natural perspective.
