Literacy is rightly recognised as one of the foundations of education. But there’s another form of literacy that can have a huge impact on our lives and is still too often overlooked: financial literacy.
Financial literacy isn't something you learn once and move on from. It's a habit you build, one small decision at a time.
This International Literacy Day, we're thinking about the lessons that don't always get taught in school, but shape almost everything about our financial lives. None of them need a finance degree. They just need a little attention and the willingness to start, even if it feels too early or too late.
The best time to start was a while ago. The next best time is now.
