Strengthening workplace safety in manufacturing requires continuous collaboration between regulators, industry practitioners and solution providers to build capability and drive safer outcomes on the ground.
Organised by SMF Centre for Corporate Learning (SMF CCL) in partnership with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), SMF-SDO (Standards Development Organisation), Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), and Singapore Food Manufacturersโ Association (SFMA), the 2nd Safety Awareness Seminar brought together experts across government, industry and consultancy to share practical insights on machinery safety and regulatory developments.
The seminar featured a series of sharing sessions covering Singaporeโs evolving WSH landscape, machinery safety requirements, inspection practices, and the practical application of ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ in strengthening workplace safety performance.
To support continuous upskilling and strengthen workplace safety capability, the ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ (๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐) by SMF CCL was introduced.
The MSOC MLP is designed to help workers stay relevant and keep their safety knowledge up to date through a practical microlearning and recertification pathway. With short, accessible modules available anytime and anywhere, it enables flexible learning while supporting stronger safety performance on the shopfloor.

A panel discussion was also held, where speakers shared valuable perspectives on improving machinery safety, strengthening inspection practices, and building safer workplaces through practical implementation.
