Bee Tai Mak/ Lou Shi Fan has many names to it. I remember having it in soup at home as a child. So, when I chanced upon it at my neighbourhood wet market, I decided to make delicious food using it. Here is a simple stir-fry for a simple work-from-home day. Have a great lunch!

Highly recommend to make a reservation here as it usually gets really crowded!

I selected the Niu Yolk Fried rice ($19) for lunch. The beef slices were tender, egg was soft and runny and it complemented the fried rice really well. I also learnt that Taiwanese fried rice is cooked with onions and have lesser wok hey compared to the Singapore version. Still delicious though!

Peanut ice cream roll ($6.90) had a generous amount of coriander. I didnā€™t quite fancy coriander so had to pick some out. Itā€™s a beautiful spin to the usual popiah, just that the vanilla ice cream wasnā€™t the most outstanding.

Think I still prefer the Gua Bao and Beef Noodles over these dishes.

It has become an aim to do dinners as much as possible even on weekdays, so how I do this is I gotta make use of my Instant Pressure Cooker, my oven, my frying pan, my wok, making a combination of meals simmered for many many hours and meals whipped up in a flash!
