Christine has been in early childhood education for twenty-five years. The process of counselling students with challenging behaviours alongside their parents and educators as a principal for 20 years led her to pursue Masters in Art Therapy with Lasalle College of the Arts in 2008. Her work with children, families and early educators provided rich insights to her research which explored art therapy with children in the Singapore context. The numerous benefits of art therapy are evident in the positive outcomes with her clients, from the very young to mature adults. Christine finds resonance with the vision of The Red Pencil and she volunteers and participates in some projects with full support. To benefit a wider population from all walks of life, she has also been teaching the curriculum she has written for a course in the Professional Development Programme in Lasalle College of the Arts since early 2011.
