4 years ago today, I resigned from my last ever office job to pursue my business full-time.

I was so scared and had no idea what the future would hold but I took the leap and never looked back.

4 years on and my life looks nothing like I imagined… because it’s SO much better than I ever dreamed.

Since then, I’ve rebranded twice, moved to the other side of the world, opened a new business, navigated 3 different countries tax systems, ended up in the news and on TV multiple times, and grown so much both personally and professionally.

Seeing this memory pop up on my phone today made me pause and reflect on the wild ride so far.

If you’ve only just found me and think I’m living the dream—you’re right, I am! But it’s been years of trial and error, lessons, pivots, and a whole lottttt of self-belief (plus leaning on my friends and business besties when imposter syndrome sneaks in).

And if you’ve been here since the start—thank you. Seriously. Your support, encouragement, and inspiration mean the world to me.

Happy 4 years to me - and here’s to many more 🥳🥂

Recent project: working with the first-ever coworking space in Makarska!🥳

This project is super special to me as I see the potential it has to impact Makarska positively.

When I first moved here 2.5 years ago, there were only a handful of other digital nomads. Makarska just wasn’t a spot on the map as an attractive destination for solo travellers & remote workers to create their base.

I think the main reasons for that were:
1. the lack of community -and-
2. the lack of space (trust me, Croatians give you weird looks if you work on a laptop at a cafe during their ✨sacred coffee time✨ 🤣).

With the introduction of the , it solves both of those issues!

Hepicentar is the FIRST👏 of its kind in Makarska. It is a dedicated coworking space and creative hub for local entrepreneurs, remote workers & digital nomads and associations.

From the opening day back in July to now, we have regular members who have formed genuine friendships outside of working hours and it truly makes me so happy to see!!🥰

I have the pleasure of using my social media marketing expertise to help bring exposure to the space and attract & build an online community. We recently launched their IG and page so please give them a follow and like!🙏

We have big plans for the space coming in 2025 & beyond and I can’t wait to be a part of the team to make it happen. ❤️

Journal entry: Growing up, I always looked up to older people. People further ahead in the “journey” we call life. Further ahead in school, in their careers, in their travels, and in years.

It only made sense, they were older, they had experienced more, so of course they were “ahead” of me.

But I was wrong.

Age does not equal being further ahead in life. Or being any more capable of being closer to their goals.

I was reminded of this today in a beautiful full circle kind of moment.

Flash back to October 2019, I had just started a course teaching me how to run my own online business. And at the same time I was applying for jobs for a sense of “stability.”

I was hired by an incredible and intelligent woman who had 15+ more years of life and work experience than myself.

She took me under her wing and taught me so much and at that company I grew SO much. Both professionally and personally.

Finally, I grew enough confidence to QUIT that job and pursue my business full-time (something I had been slowly growing over the course of 2 years on the side of the office job).

My work colleague was shocked but supportive.

We stayed in contact throughout the years and she always cheered me on from afar.

Flash forward to the present. It’s now March 2024. 3 years since I quit that job and never looked back. In those 3 years, I’ve moved to a new country and built a whole new life.

And I receive a message from that very woman.

She’s selling everything and leaving everything she knows to follow her heart, take a big risk and move to a new country!!!

I couldn’t be more proud and excited for her.

But to know LITTLE OLD ME, the young 20-something year old she hired 5 years ago inspired her into taking this beautiful leap of faith and go after her dreams is an emotion I can’t fully describe.

I forget that just by me being me and living my life, I am impacting others.

I am an inspiration to people. 😭🥹

The little girl that always looked up to others and now I have people looking up to me.

Brb going to go cry now. ❤️
