Final SNAP-SEE Conference, entitled "International Conference on Sustainable Aggregates Planning in South East Europe - contributions to the EU mineral policy framework" was held between the 22nd and the 24th October 2014 in Bled, Slovenia, organized by the Geological Survey of Slovenia in cooperation with the project`s lead partner Montanuniversität Leoben and the Iskriva Institute. A day before the 6th project Meeting took place. The two days of the International Conference gathered over 70 participants from 17 countries. On the third day a field trip to the Gorenjska region was organized. More on the event at www.snapsee.eu.

Two transnational programmes: South East Europe and Mediterranean organized for the first time the Joint Communication Training, which was held between the 2nd and the 3rd June 2014 in Bled, Slovenia. More than 100 project partners of the SEE and MED Programmes participated at various communication learning lessons and workshops on communication strategy, social media, story telling and other topics. This training for communication managers gathered representatives of more than 60 transnational projects, among which was also the SNAP-SEE project, and have contributed to a valuable exchange of knowledge between the different projects which are facing the last phase of their implementation activities.

2ND ROUND OF STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATIONS IN SEE

After succesfully completed first round of stakeholder consultations, the second round in South East Europe countries has started. In April 2014 2nd consultations took place in Slovakia and Serbia, while in May were held in Italy, Slovenia, Hungary and Montenegro. On 5th June 2014 will be held in Romania, organized by the Geological Institute of Romania, while in Greece are planned for 13th June 2014 and will be organized by the Technical University of Crete and the National Center for Sustainable Development.

After the P**a Meeting, on Friday 11th April 2014 Croatian project partners organized a field trip to the interior of Istria, which have included a visit to the quarries of Croatian stakeholders in the SNAP-SEE project and a tourist sightseeing tour of the historical center of P**a. Before leaving P**a, the SNAP-SEE project team left the sign at the beach.
