🤩 A week ago, something wonderful happened for our Switch to Eleven team...

🚀🚀 We successfully organised our first exclusive & invite-only event, where we invited Jochen Goeser to share his amazing experiences with transforming organisations into progressive ones!

🔥 First Jaka Kladnik & Nina Pozderec made a quick intro about what progressive organisations are, why Switch to Eleven believes this is the future of work & how systems are designed by humans, therefore they should be challenged frequently.

🚀 Then Jochen Goeser shared his journey into the world of self-managed organisations, talked about what his role was when Bosch Power Tools underwent the transformation & shared some hard learned lessons to our selected group of participants.

He also shared a couple of really strong messages:
🔹 "Hierarchy vs. self-management is not about black & white. The fun is in the grey area, there are many more possibilities than just these two options."
🔹 "Include people as early as possible, co-create the journey with them. It is okay to say "I don't know. What would you like to change?"
🔹 "Transformational journey never ends. And it shouldn't because the world will not stop changing."

After Jochens' presentation, we of course had a Q&A session. To our surprise the Q&A lasted an entire hour!🤯🤯

🙏🏻 We are honoured & humbled that the majority of invitees came to our event.

❤️ We want to thank every one of our participants for showing up & being really actively engaged with us & we hope all of you got valuable knowledge about progressive organisations & new ways of working.

Let's see what we were up too:
🚀 Did you know that the biggest Slovenian marketing conference was this week in Portorož?
🔥Well, Jaka Kladnik rocked the stage obviously!🔥🔥 Together with Rok Zajcc presented the transformation of the bold.group
agency towards a more customer-centric, agile & progressive organisation. Being fast & adaptable as a company is all about enabling people & experimenting, adjusting the system. There is no one-fits-all model! You have to find your own, that works for you! Easier said than done, right Rok Zajc?
🚀 Aaaand then it was the Miro event of the year: Into the : Work Happly where Nina Pozderecc together with Indra Kusuma had a workshop about how to use Miro to help teams thrive!🤘🏻Here they presented over 20 different templates that you can use in order to help create/maintain/boost psychological safety in your teams while using Miro!
🥊 And tomorrow we have a feedback workshop with the amazing 9:16 HUB team, where we will explore the wast world of feedback giving & the art of receiving it. Can't wait!🤩

So today we are resting & recharging. At least a bit😁

😱Lately we are noticing that people are afraid of conflicts even more than snakes & spiders!🕷️🐍

🤔 How come conflict has such a bad reputation, when it is a key ingredient for progress & creativity?

🦋 When we have workshops about conflict transformations or even feedbacks, we first take time to normalise conflict, before we get into different conflict styles.

One of the model we really like to use is the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode (TKI) model. It describes five different modes of behavior that individuals can adopt when faced with conflict:

👉🏻 Competing: The competitive mode involves asserting one's own interests and concerns, and seeking to win the conflict at all costs.

👉🏻 Collaborating: The collaborating mode involves working with the other party to find a mutually beneficial solution that meets the needs of both parties.

👉🏻 Compromising: The compromising mode involves finding a middle ground or a solution that partially satisfies both parties.

👉🏻 Avoiding: The avoiding mode involves withdrawing from the conflict and not addressing it, either temporarily or permanently.

👉🏻 Accommodating: The accommodating mode involves giving in to the other party and sacrificing one's own interests and concerns to maintain the relationship.

🎙️ If we are aware of these styles, we can adapt our behavior to be more effective in resolving conflicts and finding mutually acceptable solutions.
