We designed ductile piles with diameter 170 mm and wall thickness of 10.7 mm to support concrete construction.
Piles were driven in rock or weathered rock - limestone.
For driving Krupp hydraulic hammer Maraton 1000 was used.
On the basis of geotechnical report bedrock was expected on 4 m to 5 m depth. Because of Karst area local cracks and highly weathered limestone rock was found and some piles were more than 30 m long.
At the end of driving piles penetrated in soil less than 3 cm in 30 seconds of driving (hammer is working with around 120 blows/minute), what is less than 0.5 mm/ blow. It is clear, that hydraulic hammer which was used for driving could not activate total soil (rock) static capacity. So for testing free drop hammer (drop weight 1.6 metric tons) was used.

From dynamic measurements using Pile Driving Analyzer® (PDA) 8G (PDI Inc, US) and CAPWAP® data elaboration (signal matching) high toe resistance could be seen in both cases presented below. First pile was short (m) while second one was more than 30 m long. From record all splices could be seen.

Pile testing using PDA in CEREA (VR) Italy were performed to determinate transferred energies from two different hammers to the pile during driving and to define static capacity during and at the end of driving. Also comparison between transferred energy in pile defined by PDA and Junttan hammer velocity measurements with proximity switches is quite interesting.

With the help of EPC (a PDI representative), Dr Frank Rausche organized PDI-centered seminars and workshops in China, advertising the Pile Driving Analyzer PAX, PDI's flagship product. The main poster featured Gorazd Strniša, a co-founder of SLP d.o.o., one of the first companies to use PAX.

Posedki predobremenilnega nasipa izvedenega na lokaciji parkirisc so bili 95cm. Temeljenje objekta bo izvedeno na zabitih pilotih dolzine 19m. Temeljenje izvaja podjetje Adriaing. SLP d.o.o. izvaja nadzor in kontrolne meritve.

We just started with a project that involves renovating the Lidl store in Rudnik area, Ljubljana. First, the store will be demolished due to high and differential settlements.
