We're honored to be featured by UNICEF Sierra Leone!
What began as a response to the lessons of the 2017 Freetown mudslide has grown into a mission to build climate resilience through innovation and open-source technology.
This recognition belongs to our entire team, partners, and everyone who believes that local innovation can create lasting solutions for Sierra Leone and beyond.
Thank you, UNICEF Sierra Leone, for sharing our story and supporting a future where technology drives climate action.
Together, we're building a smarter, greener, and more resilient tomorrow. 🌍💚
From tragedy came innovation.
After witnessing the devastating impact of the 2017 Freetown mudslide, a group of young innovators developed Eco-Smart—an open-source digital solution designed to strengthen disaster preparedness and climate resilience in Sierra Leone.
Abdulai Barrie's story is just one example of how the Digital Public Goods (DPG) initiative, supported by the Government of Norway through UNICEF's Office of Innovation, is empowering young people to move beyond using technology to creating solutions that improve lives.
