Unlocking Africa–UK Trade & Investment Opportunities
SLONEC was proud to participate in the Africa-UK Diaspora Trade & Investment Summit and Awards 2026 in London, represented by our Founder & CEO, Mr. Ishmael Bangura.
One of the highlights of the Summit was an insightful session on "Unlocking Africa-UK Trade & Investment Opportunities" delivered by Mark Pritchard, who shared valuable lessons from over 37 years of experience working across Africa.
The session reinforced a powerful message: despite the challenges that exist in some markets, Africa continues to offer significant opportunities for investment, innovation, and business growth. Key sectors highlighted included telecommunications, fintech, edtech, digital services, agribusiness, renewable energy, automotive manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management.
The discussion was further enriched by contributions from distinguished panellists Dr. Emem Alban, Ing. Kwadwo Dankyi, and Henry Ankra, who highlighted emerging opportunities across their respective sectors and shared practical insights on how businesses and investors can engage with Africa's growth story.
During the session, SLONEC's Founder & CEO raised an important question on the role of government policy in accelerating technology adoption across Africa, particularly how governments can support the transition from manual processes to digital systems and improve public confidence in technology-driven solutions.
At SLONEC, we believe that sustainable economic growth requires more than investment alone. It requires strong institutions, effective governance, digital transformation, and the systems that enable businesses, investors, and citizens to thrive.
The Summit also provided an excellent platform to connect with business leaders, investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs committed to strengthening Africa-UK trade and investment relationships. These conversations continue to reinforce the importance of collaboration, innovation, and strategic partnerships in unlocking Africa's full potential.
As a firm supporting organisations across accountancy, tax, advisory, corporate training, business transformation, leadership development, and digital innovation, SLONEC remains committed to helping businesses and institutions build the foundations required for sustainable growth.
The opportunities are real. The time to act is now.
