Day 2 of the Building Trade Bridges B2B Meetup wrapped up on a high note and what a journey it's been!

The day opened with a recap of Day 1's momentum, before moving into a full session of networking and product exhibitions, giving Sierra Leonean SMEs the platform to showcase their products and forge direct partnerships with Japanese companies, including JICA, alongside private sector support institutions and banks.

The engagement continued with a dedicated session led by and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, reinforcing the shared commitment to strengthening Sierra Leone's private sector and building lasting, cross-border trade partnerships.

From coffee and cocoa to agribusiness, tourism, and the creative economy two days of dialogue, exhibition, and connection have laid a stronger foundation for Sierra Leone–Japan business collaboration.

BIG NEWS: Startup Bodyshop x Sal-agro Limited

We're excited to announce that Startup Bodyshop (Life By Design SL Ltd) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sal-agro Limited to support the implementation of "Building a Successful Startup: Experience Shared by U.S. Business Experts" a program delivered under the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Reciprocal Exchange Program, supported by the U.S. Department of State and IREX, in collaboration with Local2Global.

Starting 19th October, this four-week accelerator will bring together four accomplished U.S. business experts and experienced Sierra Leonean ecosystem leaders to equip about 50 Sierra Leonean entrepreneurs and startup founders with practical tools in business model refinement, customer validation, market strategy, financial planning, investment readiness, and leadership.

Startup Bodyshop will proudly host the Program, providing our training facility and supporting participant selection and outreach because we believe in building spaces where entrepreneurs can grow, connect, and scale.

Big things happen when ecosystems collaborate. Watch this space!
