The Club Lungi Queens FC was established on the 16th August, 2018 as a community-based Football Club, to promote talented female football players, within Kaffu Bullom and the Country at Large. As a team with such a vision, its has a Management that is determine to ensure that, female players are able to reach their full potentials. The team has participated in a host of competitions and has produ
ced players who are now within the realm of the national U17 and U20 . LQFC is poised to boost and expose female players who have taken football as a career. The CEO Madam Zainab S Conteh is a sport oriented personality whose passion for football and other related sporting activities have given her a name as the "Iron Lady of Sport in Kaffu Bullom." The drive of LQFC is purely inspired by an ultimate effort to see that girls are giving the opportunity to exhibit their talents in the field of sport just as men. Undoubtedly, LQFC has marshalled a great spirit to ensuring that, our young female players capture that international stage. He is assisted by Mr. James Thullah and Mr. Hassan Conteh(Romessito). Key Executive Members include Philip AO George(Team Manager), Madam Mallay Betty Brima(Marketing and Public Relations Officer), Thomas Kamara(Chairman), Coach Sasso(Technical Director) Purple Diva(Chairlady), Chernor S Sillah(Organizing Secretary), Alhassan Turay(Secretary General), Madam Violett Gbassay Kargbo(Welfare Officer), Mohamed Ajie Mansaray(Medical Officer), Sahr P Komba(Advicer), and a host of other personalities. The Colour of the team's Jersey is Blue, Yellow, Red and flashy Green. LQFC has a structured Management with a mission to elevate young girls to the pinnacle. The Club is having constant training sessions from 4:30pm to 6:30pm(Monday-Friday) most often at the Kaffu Bullom Central Field and the Saint Augustine Primary School Playing Field at Tintafor Lungi. A host of other great personalities and philanthropists who are serving as goodwill Ambassdors are doing their very best to promote the club and the girls. The LQFC participated in the SLFA Northwest Female Tournament with an anticipation to make it to the Sierra Leone Premier League. The team at District level tops the table with 9 points and 9 goals. It was able to secure the third place position at the Regional level in the ISHA JOHANSEN 10 Million Trophy organized by the NWRFA in Port Loko District. This vision to push the team to an esteemed status continues to win fans and supporters, sponsors and partners across Kaffu Bullom, the country and by extension the international community. Lungi Queens FC is always open and looking for new opportunities within the football realm, as long as it is necessary to improve the game and support women's empowerment. Currently, Lungi Queens FC is the winner/Champions of the 5 Million Leones PSDO Hon. Abdul Kargbo Female Trophy 2021.
