VIICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SIERRA LEONE JULDEH JALLOH INSPECTS MASSADA ..." BIO GAS WASTE TRANSFORMER PLANT AT ABERDEEN"

Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh today made a surprise visit to inspect a newly installed biogas electricity plant at the Well Woman Clinic in Aberdeen.This plant which is using waste to generate electricity will supply 4 kilowatts of gas electricity and 6 kilowatts of thermal to the clinic.

Being a premier cutting edge technology in the country, the generating plant transforms waste into electricity. The installed facility is a test run and the providers, the MASADA WASTE TRANSFORMER are looking forward to expanding this facility in the country on a public private partnership model.

The project manager Ms Aminata Dumbuya told the VP that the plant is capable of producing more kilowatts power depending on the size and availability of waste.

The VP expressed satisfaction with the installation highlighting the comparative advantages of such facility given its flexible and adaptable model that suits communities and certain social infrastructure in the country.

VP Juldeh Jalloh was accompanied by the MP of the Aberdeen constituency, Hon. Mohamed Sheriff Rahman-Coker, Councilor Ahmed Karim Bangura and a host of major stakeholders in the community.

Masada Waste Management Company SL LTD hereby informs the general public that the company is NOT in anyway associated or affiliated with the currently investigated Lebanon trash scandal!

Masada Waste Management Company was contracted 2 years ago by the GOSL through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and the Freetown City Council to collect, manage and convert waste for the Freetown Municipality.

Masada has the sole right to handle both liquid and solid waste in Freetown and has commenced its waste conversion plans to electricity with the Waste Transformers, a Dutch company which an MOU was signed with in July 2015 as well as with Magnegas, an American Company to handle its liquid waste and sewage products for conversion.

The Company, alongside the Freetown City Council and other stakeholders are organizing a waste management symposium on the 21st January 2016 to enhance and strengthen existing waste management structures for effective waste management services for the city.

The general public will be kept abreast in due time on our conversion plans as well as ongoing waste management activities undertaken by the company as we strive to keep Freetown clean!

MASADA WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN COLLABORATION WITH GIBRIL WILSON FEEDS THE POOR WITHIN THE FREETOWN MUNICIPALITY.

The Management of Masada Waste management Company in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Gibril Wilson has embarked on feeding of the Poor of over 250 Sierra Leoneans within the corridors of the Freetown Municipality on the 24th December 2015.The outreach programme is an annual events in honor of his late father Mr. Moses Olu Wilson (RIP) and as part of their corporate social responsibility centered towards the less privileged, physically challenged persons, aged, children, and the homeless anchoring along the metropolis of Freetown.
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr.Gibril Wilson, in his opening remarks admonished the beneficiaries to be courageous emphasizing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. He also complimented their efforts by providing food items worth over millions of Leones as a means of showing good gesture to the poor through donations as they celebrate Christmas and also a point of external relationship drive through the company’s corporate social responsibility and also the fight against the menace of indiscriminate disposal within the metropolitan. The latter was demonstrated by placing food on take away packs, encouraging the beneficiaries to dispose them properly after eating.
Abu Sankoh, a beneficiary of the scheme expressed satisfaction over the food items and thanked Mr. Wilson and Masada for their timely consideration especially as the festive season unfolds .He also called on the physically challenged persons to complement the mandate of Masada as such relationship will help foster the call for the revolutionizing the mindset of the general public towards establishing a clean environment.
Mabinty Kamara, another primary beneficiary of the donations thanked Gibril Wilson for such a laudable drive towards the less privileged and encouraged the CEO of Masada to continue his support to the poor as a way of expressing goodwill gesture and the alleviation of poverty echoed in the agenda for prosperity by His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
The ceremony was climaxed with random coverage by the print and electronic media noted as the first historical donation to the poor in the history of Sierra Leone championed by a waste management company.
