One week ago, we announced on our social media platforms that we would provide free soap-making training for young women in and around Kenema City. Today, we are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the first cohort.
These ambitious and enterprising young women have acquired practical skills in the production of liquid soap, bar soap, and powdered soap. Beyond the technical training, we also supported them with basic business branding, including logo design and product branding, to help position their products for the market.
Our goal goes beyond skills acquisition. We are committed to creating pathways for economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance among young women. The products made during the training are being taken home by the participants to either start generating income through sales or reduce household expenses through personal use.
The response from the community has been overwhelming. Based on popular demand, registration is now open for the second batch of trainees, which will commence in mid-June 2026.
We are also excited to announce that our next destination is Bo City. From 1st to 7th June 2026, Helzee Farms will be bringing this empowerment initiative to young women in Bo.
Registration is now open.
