Diversity Consulting Group (DCG) is pleased to participate in consultation meetings of the collaborative framework for the pillars of Somalia’s National Transformation Plan (NTP). The consultations, organised by the 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 Aid Coordination Department, brought together Federal Government of Somalia institutions and private sector representatives. Discussions focused in particular on the 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐓𝐏 – 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
During the sessions, participants engaged in in-depth dialogue on practical measures to address climate change risks, with strong emphasis on:

- Policy and institutional frameworks
- Climate financing mechanisms
- Early warning systems
- Private sector engagement

The consultations also highlighted key opportunities in renewable energy, waste management, water resources, flood risk reduction, and investment in climate- and environment-related programmes, all priority areas under the National Transformation Plan. The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening sustained collaboration between government and the private sector to accelerate NTP implementation and advance sustainable, climate-resilient development in Somalia.

Diversity Consulting Group participated Mogadishu Environmental Summit, where delivered a presentation on “Building Climate-Resilient Cities: Bottom-Up Approaches”, highlighting the power of locally driven solutions, community-led planning, and evidence-based tools for urban climate adaptation. also joined a panel on Urban Resilient Infrastructure, focusing on water, sanitation, and the circular economy, exploring practical solutions for flood management and sustainable urban system
