Today marks the first day of a three-day workshop focused on strengthening the strategic communications capacity of LPI, and its partners.

Day 1 laid the foundation for effective, peace-sensitive communication—grounded in audience focus, narrative coherence, and conflict sensitivity. Participants engaged in practical sessions to reflect on current communication strengths, gaps, and risks; identify and prioritize key audiences; clarify communication objectives aligned with institutional mandates and the NRF; and begin shaping clear, credible, peace-oriented narratives.

The day concluded with a hands-on exercise translating these strategic choices into a practical communications implementation plan, linking objectives, audiences, messages, channels, actions, and learning measures.

A strong start to three days of learning, reflection, and practical application aimed at strengthening how peace and reconciliation efforts are communicated, understood, and trusted.

Today, we held a validation workshop for the Judiciary of Somalia. We presented to the participants a unified, result-oriented, forward-looking, and citizen-centered communication strategy that aims to increase public awareness about the judiciary's mandate, functions, and position within the Federal Structure of the FGS.

With the adoption of the new communications strategy, the Judiciary of Somalia would presumably increase its engagement on matters related to access to justice, rule of law, and service delivery to its wider stakeholders, including but not limited to judges, court staff/registry, investigating agencies, prosecutors, lawyers, prison officials, and other stakeholders, such as court users: litigants, victims, and witnesses, civil society actors, academia, and representatives from the media associations and syndicates.
