Empowering Communities, Enriching Futures Afu-Mena means "cherish what you have" in Paramaccan. This is the language of the Maroons in East Suriname.

The Maroons are descendants of enslaved people who freed themselves from slavery. They initially settled in the interior of Suriname as a tribe. Vision Statement:
