Job Description

Duty Station: Roving (Juba, Upper Nile, and Unity)

Section: Environmental Engineering Technician

Contract type: Part-time

Summary of Job Description:

In coordination and under the directive of the Business Manager and the CEO. Environmental Engineering technician will be responsible for overseeing all projects under the implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collect and analyze pollution samples,

Responsible for the technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.

Design and prepare cleanup of hazardous material spills.

To identify and determine the appropriate technologies for cleaning polluted environment.

Identify appropriate waste disposal technics.

To conduct technical analysis of pollution data in regards to air, water and soil.

Conduct environmental assessment and provide accurate recommendation.

To decontaminate and test field equipment used to clean or test pollutants from soil, air, or water.

Knowledge and skills of computer software in order to develop detailed designs.

Perform complex calculations, design and solve development problems.

To ensure that the projects comply with standardized legislations in relation to construction.

Partnership and coordination with other professionals.

Together with the Finance and Admin, he/she will provide list of required materials for the project implementation.

The incumbent will oversee and implement the project implementation.

The incumbent will ensure that the projects are implemented in time as required by the client.

Prepare project proposals, generate weekly and monthly report, which he/she submits to the CEO.

Ensures that the company documents, communications (email, text messages, social media) are kept confidential.

Ensures that the company properties under his/her responsibility (Laptops, etc.) are secure.

Study maps, draft designs and read plans.

Any other role assigned to him or her.

Standard minimum qualifications:

Diploma with 5 years experience in the same field.

Undergraduate Degree with 2 years experience.

Master's Degree 1 year experience.

Evidence of previously implemented and completed projects is an added advantage.
