Death Announcement!!!
The family of Biliw Bol Anyang from Pan Abiel clan, Pawai section, Nyarweng community is sad to informs the family members, relatives, friends, Nyarweng community, Duk community, people of Jonglei state and general public that a Nyarweng Youth Leader; William Thon Biliw Bol has been killed in a fatal ambush of JDF vehicles between Duk Pajut and Duk Payuel today on the 29th of June 2026 at around mid-day.
Thon died with 16 people and 9 others sustained gun wounds. This is a big loss to the Nyarweng community, Duk community and people of South Sudan. We are sadly dismayed by such a lost of lives and Nyarweng Icons. The burial has already taken place in Poktap, Duk County.
Thon has been champion of peace and a peace protector--a hero has fallen! This is the darkest day ever and a painful moment witnessed for the Nyarweng community.
The family has been informed that the county administration and Jonglei state government is deeply concerned and will do the needful investigation into the circumstances involved to his dismay.
The family is condemning the barbaric killing of innocent lives in cold blood and may God continue resting their souls in peace..Amen
The mourners can send their condolences to or visit the family members in Poktap, Nimule, Juba and Kampala as well.
The funeral day and date will be picked and shall be communicated after other necessary arrangements.
