4th September 2026
Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism meeting with parliament standing committee with Land Use Planning committee hold meeting

Collaboration with Parliament

โ€‹An immediate priority is strengthening the relationship between wildlife legislation and South Sudan's wider land governance framework.

โ€‹Protected areas, wildlife corridors, buffer zones, and other conservation areas depend on land and land legislation.

โ€‹The MWCT Land Use Planning Committee respectfully requests the Standing Committee to:

โ€‹Support Wildlife Land Policy Alignment: Advocate for appropriate integration of the Wildlife Conservation and Protected Areas Act within the forthcoming Land Policy and subsequent land legislation.

โ€‹Establish Quarterly Coordination: Hold quarterly meetings with the MWCT Land Use Planning Committee to receive updates, discuss emerging land-use issues, and identify areas requiring parliamentary support.

โ€‹Support Cross-Sector Coordination: Promote stronger coordination across government where mining, infrastructure, agriculture, land, and other development activities interact with protected areas, wildlife, and communities.

โ€‹The Committee therefore considers it important that relevant provisions of the Wildlife Conservation and Protected Areas Act are appropriately reflected in the forthcoming Land Policy and subsequent policies and legislation that clearly recognize their status and management.

Every animal plays a vital role in keeping nature alive. From the smallest insects to the tallest giraffe, wildlife deserves our protection not destruction.

Together, we can stop habitat loss, fight poaching, and create a safer world for every species. Every action matters. Every voice counts.

โค๏ธ Protect wildlife today so future generations can experience the beauty of nature tomorrow.

๐Ÿฆ ENDANGERED SPECIES: AT RISK IN DANGER IN NEED.

Across our planet countless species are facing growing threats to their survival. Forests are disappearing oceans are becoming polluted, habitats are being destroyed and wildlife is increasingly affected by climate change and human activities.

Every species has a role in maintaining the balance of nature. When a species disappears we donโ€™t just lose an animal we lose a part of the ecosystem that supports life on Earth.

These threats are putting wildlife under enormous pressure.

But we can make a difference. Protecting natural habitats reducing pollution supporting conservation making sustainable choices, and spreading awareness can help give endangered species a future.

They canโ€™t speak for themselves but we can speak for them. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

SAVE A SPECIES. SAVE BIODIVERSITY. SAVE OUR PLANET.
