How the "Handshake" works:
The tracker acts as the brain. It stays on the cost-effective GSM network as long as possible. The moment the signal vanishes, it automatically handshakes with an Iridium Edge via the RS232 port.
For high-value assets and security-sensitive missions, "mostly tracked" isn't enough. It has to be always tracked.
