Our team led by Akot Janet John and Ochan Mark distributed assorted seeds (Maize, Soybeans and Beans) to more than 45 out-grower farmers linked to Nile Agro-Tech & Seed Co Ltd targeting more than 100 acres of cultivable land for our season two seed multiplication program in Palwar of Magwi County. Next week we shall wrap it up with farmers in Alia Boma of Obbo Payam then extend similar approach to Nyara, Balbal and Kalisoni of Iyire Payam Torit County.

One of the biggest challenge to smallholders farmers is access to market for their produce, Nile Agro-Tech & Seed Co Ltd through the “Grow to Sell” agribusiness model engaged numerous farmers in seed multiplication program that is paying off to our seed outgrower farmers in Magwi. The farmers have been lacking this important agribusiness component for a very long time. As a seed company led by young vibrant South Sudanese we are proud of this milestone and we look forward to expanding our network and model to ensure every farmer have cash 💰 💵 at hand to meet their daily basic essential needs. We are appealing to development partners to support such initiatives and life changing models to ensure food and economic security in South Sudan.
