Senior Auditor
Brief description
As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for performing assigned audits throughout our client’s operations and ensuring that the correct controls are in place and adhered to.
Tasks
• Assists in the planning, ex*****on and finalization of all areas of the audit assignment for supervisor review, seeking input for areas of concern and judgment.
• Identifies risk matters and raise it with the supervisor while exercising judgment within agreed parameters.
• Identify and understand client needs, suggest potential solutions on technical matters and communicate and agree client needs and potential solutions with Supervisor.
• Active engagement with senior client staff in order to gain a good understanding of their business and ensure the efficient ex*****on of the audit.
• Take primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget, and when the actual differs from the budget then gain a full understanding for the Supervisor.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior members of staff within teams, on client premises and in the office.
• Ensure compliance with internal (audit methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements.
• Document work done in a clear and comprehensive manner.
• Completing client tax return.
• Other Tasks may be assigned as per the work requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
• Working knowledge of the tax and statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Aptitude for planning.
• Self-reliance.
• Excellent time and priority management.
• Detail-oriented.
• Good command of English language
• Working Knowledge of IFRS, IAS and ISA.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economy or other related program.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• Good knowledge of the MS Office, Tax return software, checklists, worksheets, online databases, PROAudit, internet access.
