As the Kingdom of Eswatini prepares to celebrate the Umhlanga Reed Dance - our most famous cultural spectacle - A Peculiar People, in partnership with Creativ Ideas and a distinguished collective of local beauty, skincare and haircare brands, had the honour of curating a special Made in Eswatini Care Hamper for Her Royal Highness Princess Sakhizwe to use during the ceremony. HRH Princess Sakhizwe currently serves as Inkhosatana yeMbali Regiment, as appointed by His Majesty the King.
The hamper was presented by our Chairman, Melusi Zox Dlamini and Creativ Ideas Director Philile Mabuza at Emafini Country Lodge - as a humble gesture of appreciation and celebration of the remarkable products, creativity and enterprise of our own people.
Her Royal Highness graciously received and appreciated the gesture. And, in her wisdom and generosity, further challenged us to ensure that, in the future, every member of the Imbali Regiment is afforded the opportunity to receive and experience a Made in Eswatini Care Hamper.
It is a call we received with great honour and humility. We will work hard to ensure that this gesture grows into a one of pride, participation and prosperity for our local brands - ensuring that the spirit of Umhlanga also becomes a celebration of the hands, hearts and ingenuity of our makers and entrepreneurs.
