Good day to all current and future Swazi Escape riders.
It is with a great sadness in our hearts that we have to announce that, due to a number of factors including, but not limited to, the announcement of the Royal Umhlanga Reed Dance date being announced over our 2018 race weekend, we have had to postpone our race to March 2019.
We have chosen this new date after months of planning and looking at any future royal and cultural ceremonies that get announced in the beautiful kingdom. We respect the King's request to not have any other major events during this period once the date has been announced each year. Even though our Swazi Escape trails will not feel the burning of bike tread in 2018, we have a dedicated trail team that will keep our trails ready and in top condition to make sure March 2019 is a race like no other. We view this as an opportunity to come back better, stronger, and more enticing.
As we toil behind the scenes, know that we have your best interests at heart, your experience, our hospitality, and our core values are non-negotiable. We offer our BEST, or nothing. In the near future, as announcements and developments are made, know that they are as sincere as our apologies for not being able to offer you a Swazi Escape 2018.
P.S All entries that have already paid for their 2018 race entries will have a choice of a full reimbursement or to automatically move their race entry to the March 2019 date. We will contact each fully paid entry personally with in the next 14 days.
