..ENHI ACHIEVES AN OUTSTANDING 97% IN NUPAS ASSESSMENT!
Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) is proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone in its journey towards institutional excellence - achieving an outstanding overall score of 97% in the Non-U.S. Organization Pre-Award Survey (NUPAS) Assessment.
The achievement was officially announced by Georgetown University (GU) Country Resident Director Professor Samson Haumba during the ALLOCATE Project Graduation Ceremony held at Esibayeni Lodge, Matsapha.
The ALLOCATE Project, supported by the United States Government through the Office of Foreign Assistance (OFA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Georgetown University (GU), has played a pivotal role in strengthening ENHI’s capacity to sustain and enhance its response to HIV and Tuberculosis (TB).
FROM 68% TO 97% - A JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION
This achievement did not happen overnight. It is the result of commitment, mentorship, capacity building, teamwork, continuous improvement and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
2023 - 68% | THE BEGINNING
ENHI embarked on its improvement journey, supported by capacity building, mentorship and technical guidance from Georgetown University, laying a strong foundation for transformation.
2024 - 71% | BUILDING MOMENTUM
Through continued mentorship and capacity building, the ENHI team strengthened its systems, institutional knowledge and readiness.
2025 - 92% | BREAKTHROUGH
Sustained capacity building, teamwork and dedication delivered significant progress, bringing ENHI closer to excellence.
2026 - 97% | EXCELLENCE ACHIEVED 🏆
Years of hard work, collaboration, learning and continuous improvement culminated in an exceptional 97% score — a powerful testament to what is possible when people, systems and partnerships work together towards a common goal.
Speaking on the achievement, ENHI Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mazwi Mavuso, said the 97% score represents far more than a number.
“This achievement is more than a number. It represents a journey of continuous learning, resilience, mentorship, partnership and unwavering commitment that began in 2023.”
He further emphasized that the milestone reflects the dedication of Team ENHI - from strengthening systems and governance to improving accountability, programme management, financial processes and procurement systems.
“Every document prepared, every gap addressed, every lesson learned, and every extra effort made contributed to this milestone. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, resilience and teamwork of Team ENHI,” said Mavuso.
The Honourable Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, also commended the achievement, noting that the strengthened systems and governance give confidence that resources entrusted to ENHI are being managed responsibly and effectively. The minister then thanked the USA Government and it people for investing in health sector as their investment is saving many lives in Eswatini.
