RE: ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CLIENT DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS

1. The purpose of this announcement is to provide all clients will an update regarding the provisional suspension of our FSP licence. We have been working around the clock with our legal and compliance team to navigate this difficult period.

2. The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (“FSCA”) has served us with an application in terms of section 38B of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act and section 96 of the Financial Markets Act. We have filed our notice to oppose the application and the matter is set down for argument on 21 July 2020 in the Johannesburg High Court.

3. In the intervening period, our access to banking facilities has been restricted and we are not able to pay any client withdrawals as a direct result thereof. This is deeply troubling to us as we believe that this restriction is not in the best interest of you, our trusted client.

4. In the current circumstances, we have no other option but to place a hold on all deposits and withdrawals with immediate effect. This will impact all clients negatively as all open positions will need to be closed. We also understand that clients who hedge losing positions, will no longer be able to do so. We have raised these concerns with the FSCA to no avail.

5. We acknowledge that these are temporary measures put in place by the FSCA, however the detrimental effects of said measures will no doubt have lasting effects on our business operations. We will continue to keep all clients updated and any further developments will be published timeously.

6. We thank you for your patience and understanding, and we wish to confirm that all client funds are safely held. Further that we as a company have sufficient reserves to pay out all withdrawals as soon as we are permitted to do so.

Clients are encouraged to carefully read and familiarise themselves with the new terms and conditions of the 200% bonus on our website, below are a few important changes to expect.
• Margin requirements and stop out levels will be adjusted to 30%.
• The full credit amount will be removed from the trading account upon the P/L total being less than your initial deposit.
• It’s the traders responsibility to manage the margin requirements and ensure that a sufficient balance total is available to avoid positions being closed with a stop out order.

JP Markets always strives to ensure that the value being delivered to our clients remains TOP PRIORITY!

Due to the new operational measures implemented for the COVID19 impact; we are experiencing a backlog of withdrawals and have thus been unable to deliver our usual 2 – 4 hours processing time.
In an attempt to better this process under the new confines, and ensure you still receive your withdrawals quicker than all our competitors, we have made a decision to limit the amount of withdrawals that you can do PER DAY.

With immediate effect your dashboard will be adjusted to permit two (2) withdrawal requests per day, (1 every 12 hours). This will allow our withdrawal department to eliminate the backlog that we currently have and ensure that future withdrawals are paid within a matter of hours.

Please note this is TEMPORARY as we are committed to providing exceptional service and have to proactively review our protocols and procedures to continue our service to you, our valued clients!

This decision was not taken lightly as we are aware of this inconvenience to our customers, based on our business continuity plans and procedures, all our resources and planning are being directed towards ensuring that there are no disruptions to our service or customers.

Dear Clients,

Due to recent developments regarding the Coronavirus we have taken the decision to implement a social distancing policy. In order to mitigate the spread of the virus and to protect our staff members and you, our clients we have taken the decision to no longer take in walk-in clients. This also means that our free training rooms will not be available to clients for the time being.

This means any meetings will need to be done through whatsapp, video calls or conference calls. Clients are asked to avoid JP Markets offices for the time being. Our staff will still be on duty, therefore requests will need to be emailed, [email protected] alternatively clients can use our support line, +26876789063 to get serviced.

We are trying to keep opportunities for exposure to the virus to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We believe it is our civil duty to assist the government, our staff and clients in making sure this virus dies down quickly.

PC or mobile app. Head to My Tickets on the menu bar, and log a ticket with your query. Social Media queries will only be responded to intermittently. The ticketing system is the most efficient way to get your queries resolved.
