It was a pleasure to sit down with P’Tae — Damrong Leewairoj, Deputy Managing Director of AME Imaginative and a fellow Khon Kaen native for a conversation on:

“Sharing Isan with the World.”

Friends, familiar faces, and people from our community came by to listen, support, and simply say hello.

KAEN.KET is opening its doors in the heart of Khon Kaen.

Thank you for giving BWILD ISAN the opportunity, as a small part of Khon Kaen, to contribute to creating something meaningful for our city.

For us, KAEN KRAFT is more than simply a retail space.
We hope that, together, we can help shape it into a place of opportunity for Isan craft.

That is an important reason why BWILD ISAN will have our work available here — our only retail presence in a shopping centre.

Together, we welcome everyone with something special from Isan, created here in Khon Kaen.

And we begin with our first activity:


On 3 October, BWILD ISAN will host our first workshop, inviting students and anyone interested in craft to learn directly from our craftspeople through the making of our little weaver ant 🐜🍂.

For us, passing on craft knowledge is about growing the next generation of craftspeople. We also hope to be part of building a way of doing business that truly understands and supports how craftspeople live and work.

It takes people, places, and opportunities working together.

สุ่มไก่ ที่คิดมาอย่างดี
ไม่ใช่สุ่มสี่สุ่มห้า

“สุ่ม” คือของพื้นบ้านที่อยู่คู่กับวิถีชีวิตของคนไทย
แต่ “สุ่มสี่สุ่มห้า” หมายถึงการทำอะไรโดยไม่คิดให้รอบคอบ ทำไปโดยไม่รู้จริง หรือปล่อยให้เป็นเรื่องของโชค

A SOOM, thoughtfully made.
Never Soom-See-Soom-Ha.

In Thai, Soom (สุ่ม) is a traditional woven bamboo chicken coop, rooted in everyday rural life.

But Soom-See-Soom-Ha (สุ่มสี่สุ่มห้า) is a Thai expression for doing something without thinking it through — acting at random or leaving things to chance.

This bag is a Soom, but nothing about it is random.
From the idea and form to every detail, everything is considered and made with intention.

For BWILD ISAN, knowing where we come from doesn’t mean we have to stay where we are.

We know where we come from.
We value what we have.
We think carefully, then choose our own way.
