FOURDIGIT (THAILAND) is looking for a User Experience Designer who is passionate about making a memorable impact on people’s everyday lives through digital products. If you have deep working knowledge of digital product design, development, and UX best practices, we want to hear from you.

Role Purpose
As a UX Designer, your mission is to ensure our digital products are well-crafted based on deep user understanding. You will bridge the gap between user needs and business value, delivering memorable experiences through meticulous research and high-fidelity design.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis: Assess project scopes, determine research questions, and run studies from start to finish—including planning, recruiting, and synthesizing data into actionable insights.
Design & Architecture: Shape information architecture with sitemaps, user scenarios, and user flows. You will lead the design of large, complex systems of interaction.
Prototyping: Create complex interactive prototypes at varying levels of fidelity and develop wireframes and functional specifications at a fast pace.
Collaboration: Facilitate workshops and collaborate effectively across roles, including design, research, engineering, and product management.
Leadership: Advocate for the user through insightful presentations to stakeholders and mentor other UX designers in the pursuit of innovation.

Qualifications

Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showing distinctive work in product, service, and web design.
Experience: Previous experience in a design studio or advertising agency creating UX for websites and mobile applications.
Expertise: Solid understanding of Design Thinking principles and user-centered design theory.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Mindset: Ability to develop elegant solutions to complex problems, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative, empathic nature.
Language: High proficiency to communicate in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above)

Bonus Points

Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, HCI, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Recognized UX Certifications (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group or HFI).
Experience working in a fast-paced digital agency environment.

On 26 June we're putting on something I've been working toward for a while: SYNC Design & Innovation in SITE 2026, in Bangkok.

FOURDIGIT is co-organizing it with Nikkei BP and Thailand's National Innovation Agency (NIA). We're calling it the first design and innovation festival of its kind in Asia, which is a strong claim, but the speaker list backs it up:

- Manabu Mizuno (good design company), brand strategist behind Kumamon and Panasonic
- Eriko Yamaguchi (MOTHERHOUSE), CEO of a global bag brand that started in a workshop in Bangladesh
- Yoshihiro Yagi (dentsu Japan), Cannes Lions Grand Prix winner and 2026 D&AD Jury President
- Prof. Eisuke Tachikawa (NOSIGNER), board member of the World Design Organization
- Sumpatha Jadee (Farmgroup), the designer behind Bangkok's new visual identity, with prior work for Apple and Netflix

Why we put this together:

In Japan, the conversation about design moved past "make it look nice" roughly 15 years ago. Today it's treated as a real business function with seats at executive tables and direct lines to outcomes like retention, conversion, brand value, and operating efficiency. Southeast Asia is partway through that same shift, and Thailand has policy momentum behind it (NIA's involvement here is not coincidental).

Our bet is that the firms in this region that learn to use design as a strategy tool, not a polish layer, will have a real advantage in the next decade. Especially as AI commoditizes ex*****on and pushes the value upstream into framing, judgment, and taste.

ลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) กับมหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ

ณ. วันที่ 30 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2568 FOURDIGIT ได้ลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) กับมหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ และได้จัดพิธีลงนามร่วมกัน

MOU นี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อสร้างโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้นำความรู้ทางทฤษฎีไปประยุกต์ใช้ในทางปฏิบัติ และเสริมสร้างการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและบริษัทต่างๆ ภายใต้ความร่วมมือนี้ FOURDIGIT จะจัดหลักสูตรการศึกษาด้านการออกแบบบริการเชิงปฏิบัติ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของหลักสูตรของมหาวิทยาลัย

FOURDIGIT ได้ดำเนินโครงการเดียวกันนี้กับ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี และ สถาบันเทคโนโลยีไทย-ญี่ปุ่น มาแล้ว ซึ่งมีนักศึกษาเข้าร่วมโครงการทั้งหมด 77 คน

# # # **👩‍🎓 Signed an MOU with Assumption University!**

On the 30th of last month, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Assumption University, a private university in Thailand, and held a signing ceremony. Founded in 1969, Assumption University is a Christian university with a long history of education.

The MOU aims to create opportunities for students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and to strengthen knowledge exchange and collaboration between the university and companies. As part of this partnership, FOURDIGIT will provide practical service design education programs as part of the university curriculum.

FOURDIGIT has previously conducted programs at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi and the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, with a total of 77 students having participated so far. This new initiative builds on those efforts, with the first program at Assumption University scheduled for December 2025.

กิจกรรมด้านการศึกษาในกรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย

เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้กำลังเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว แต่จำนวนบุคลากรด้านการออกแบบที่มีประสบการณ์ยังไม่เพียงพอ ความท้าทายนี้ปรากฏในแวดวงการศึกษาเช่นกัน เนื่องจากนักศึกษาไม่ค่อยมีโอกาสฝึกทักษะเชิงปฏิบัติ ทั้งที่งานออกแบบในปัจจุบันต้องอาศัยทั้งความรู้ด้านธุรกิจและเทคโนโลยี ส่งผลให้บริษัทต่างๆ ประสบปัญหาในการหานักออกแบบที่มีคุณสมบัติเหมาะสม และจำเป็นต้องลงทุนอย่างมากในการฝึกอบรมพนักงานใหม่

เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหานี้และส่งเสริมการออกแบบให้เป็นเครื่องมือทางธุรกิจ FOURDIGIT จึงร่วมมือกับมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทย เพื่อถ่ายทอดความเชี่ยวชาญด้านการพัฒนาบุคลากรด้านการออกแบบ

FOURDIGIT เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญและให้คำปรึกษาในเรื่องของ Service Design, การสร้างแบรนด์, การออกแบบประสบการณ์ลูกค้า และการสนับสนุนการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องทั้งในญี่ปุ่นและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ รวมถึงมีการจัดอบรมสำหรับองค์กรต่างๆ ตัวอย่างเช่น ในโอกินาว่า เราประสบความสำเร็จในการดำเนินโครงการที่ผสมผสานการสร้างงานในท้องถิ่นเข้ากับการศึกษาออกแบบดิจิทัล

Educational Activities in Bangkok, Thailand

The digital economy in Southeast Asia is growing rapidly, but there aren’t enough experienced design professionals in the region. Similar challenges exist in education, where students have limited opportunities to develop practical skills despite today’s design jobs requiring knowledge of both business and technology. As a result, companies find it difficult to hire qualified designers and need to invest heavily in training new employees.

To address these challenges and promote design as a business solution, we decided to work with Thai universities, sharing our expertise in developing design talent.

We specialize in service design, branding, and customer experience design, and continuous improvement support in Japan and Southeast Asia. We also provide corporate training programs. In Okinawa, we run successful projects that combine local job creation with digital design education.

Based on these experiences, we aim to improve design education in Thailand while helping organizations develop talent more efficiently and reduce their training costs.

Speaking on the Importance of Service Design in Business at a FTI Event for Thai Company COOs

FOURDIGIT participated in a program for COOs of Thai companies hosted by the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) on August 9, 2025. CEO Ryo Taguchi delivered a presentation on the theme of “The Importance of Service Design in Business.”

The Federation of Thai Industries is an economic organization under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and one of the most important bodies representing the Thai industrial sector. Aiming to contribute to Thailand’s industrial development and competitiveness, the FTI provides programs that help business owners and entrepreneurs acquire the knowledge necessary for sustainable growth in the digital era.

Background of the Presentation

We leverage our experience in service design from both Japan and Southeast Asia, to nurture people who can deliver service design value. As part of this initiative, we have developed and provide a short-term workshop-based course for local universities to train practical service design professionals in Thailand. The FTI resonated with this initiative, leading to the invitation for this presentation.

Presentation Overview

The presentation, titled “The Importance of Service Design in Business,” began by highlighting how shifts in economic and technological environments have brought increased focus to user experience, and how the ability for anyone to approach users directly has heightened the importance of service delivery for all companies. Against this backdrop, the term “service design” has gained increasing relevance.

Taguchi then introduced the service design process, the importance of teamwork, and our case studies. The session concluded with an emphasis on the importance of human resource development, introducing our educational initiatives in Thailand as well as plans for future training programs for professionals and corporate clients.

FOURDIGIT is pleased to collaborate with King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, School of Architecture + Design Department, and Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, Information Technology Department , to organize a 4-day Service Design Bootcamp. This training aims to equip learners with an understanding of the working processes involved in creating innovative services that address the lifestyle needs of target groups and meet business objectives.

The program includes lectures, workshops, and presentations, providing students with real-world experience through activities that simulate the work processes that FOURDIGIT provides to client companies in actual project. (employed by large organizations) in Japan. This initiative is certified and supported by The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), a government agency in Japan dedicated to supporting international education collaborations.

The Bootcamp has attracted students from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, Chulalongkorn University, among others. Participants engage in workshops alongside students from different departments, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

FOURDIGIT continues to coordinate with additional universities and organizations to further expand this Service Design Bootcamp. Our goal is to provide training opportunities for students, organizational personnel, and the general public to develop skills in designing user-centric services and improving organizational work processes.
