ในโอกาสครบรอบ 70 ปีการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูต #ออสเตรเลีย 🇦🇺 และ #ไทย 🇹🇭 สถานเอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรเลียประจำประเทศไทย ร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และสถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงแคนเบอร์รา

ขอเชิญผู้สนใจส่งผลงานเข้าร่วมการประกวดออกแบบตราสัญลักษณ์ (โลโก้) เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างออสเตรเลียและไทย ภายใต้หัวข้อ “70 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ออสเตรเลีย-ไทย: มิตร หุ้นส่วน และความรุ่งเรือง" โดยโลโก้ที่ชนะการประกวดจะได้ใช้เป็นสัญลักษณ์อย่างเป็นทางการสำหรับกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ตลอดปี 2565 ทั้งในรูปแบบสิ่งพิมพ์และสื่อดิจิทัล

ผู้ชนะเลิศจะได้รับรางวัลบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินไป–กลับ กรุงเทพฯ –ซิดนีย์ ชั้นประหยัด 2 ที่นั่ง จากการบินไทย (กรณีผู้ชนะอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย) และ ซิดนีย์–กรุงเทพฯ ชั้นประหยัด 2 ที่นั่ง (กรณีที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศออสเตรเลีย) พร้อมที่พักในกรุงเทพฯ หรือ ซิดนีย์ เป็นเวลา 3 คืน จากโรงแรมในเครือไมเนอร์ โฮเทลส์

CALL FOR ENTRIES: 70th Anniversary Logo Competition!

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Australia – which we will celebrate throughout 2022 – the Australian Embassy, Thailand, together with Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra, would like to invite Thais and Australians to design the official logo for the 70th anniversary.

The winning design will be featured as the logo for all 70th anniversary-related activities in 2022 in both print and digital formats.

The winner will receive two economy class return trip tickets: Bangkok – Sydney from Thai Airways (in case the winner resides in Thailand) or Sydney – Bangkok (in case the winner resides in Australia) with three nights accommodation in Bangkok or Sydney with Minor Hotels. The tickets must be used prior to 31 December 2022. Travel is subject to border restrictions and visa requirements at that time.

Thailand ratifies RCEP pact

Thailand has already submitted the ratification for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trade pact and reaffirmed that the world's biggest free trade deal will come into force on Jan 1 next year as scheduled.

According to a source from the Commerce Ministry who requested anonymity, Thailand, through Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, submitted the ratification for RCEP on Oct 28 to the Asean Secretariat, ahead of the previous deadline set in November.

Parliament ratified the pact on Feb 9 this year.

The pact, signed by 15 countries last November, will come into effect 60 days after it is ratified by at least six Asean members and three other signatory countries.

Among the signatories, Singapore and China have completed ratification procedures.

The RCEP groups the 10 Asean states -- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam -- as well as Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea.

Currently, five Asean members -- Singapore, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand -- have submitted their ratifications of the pact.

"We strongly believe that the pact will come into force as scheduled, as Japan and China have already ratified the pact while Australia and New Zealand are about to ratify the pact sometime soon," said the source.

Trade Negotiations Department's director-general Auramon Supthaweethum said Thailand will benefit from RCEP in terms of a bigger market because RCEP is the world's largest trading and investment market, comprising 15 countries with a population of nearly 2.3 billion, with a total GDP of US$28.5 trillion in 2020.

The RCEP trade volume tallied over $10.7 trillion or 30.3% of global trade last year.

The Commerce Ministry estimated Thailand has a total of 39,366 items of goods that will benefit from the duty reduction, with 29,891 to enjoy zero tariffs in the first phase.

The rest are scheduled to see tariffs gradually reduced to zero in 10-20 years.

"Obvious benefits from the pact are exports, mostly related to a pledge from South Korea, Japan and China to reduce or abolish customs tariff collection on additional Thai shipments on top of those already offered under free trade agreements," she said.

#มอร์มูฟเป็นข่าว มึนตึ้บไม่ไหว!! สำนักข่าว Reuters รายงานว่า ทางการออสเตรเลียต้องการคำอธิบายจากจีนว่า เหตุใดการส่งออกล็อบส์เตอร์ของออสเตรเลียจึงถูกสกัดกั้น หลังจากเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากรฮ่องกงแจ้งว่า ทางการจีนประกาศข้อจำกัดการนำเข้าและการลักลอบนำล็อบส์เตอร์ออสเตรเลียเข้าจีน เพราะถือเป็นภัยคุกคามความมั่นของแห่งชาติจีน

** ล็อบส์เตอร์ออสเตรเลียที่ส่งออกเกือบทั้งหมดถูกส่งไปยังจีน จนกระทั่งเกิดความตึงเครียดทางการทูตระหว่างกันในปี 2020 ทำให้เกิดการตอบโต้กันไปมาระหว่างสองประเทศ โดยจีนกำหนดมาตรการกีดกันทางการค้าที่ไม่เป็นทางการกับสินค้าของออสเตรเลียหลายรายการ หลังจากนั้น การส่งออกล็อบส์เตอร์จากออสเตรเลียไปยังฮ่องกงจึงเพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากฮ่องกงและออสเตรเลียมีสนธิสัญญาทางการค้าระหว่างกันแยกต่างหากจากจีน โดยล็อบส์เตอร์เหล่านี้บางส่วนเล็ดลอดไปถึงจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่

📌 การให้สัมภาษณ์ดังกล่าวมีขึ้นหลังจากที่ประชุมองค์การการค้าโลก (WTO) พิจารณาแนวปฏิบัติทางการค้าของจีน โดยออสเตรเลียระบุว่าพฤติกรรมของจีนไม่เป็นไปตามข้อบังคับของ WTO.
