THE ORDER OF PERFORATION

Presented in two orientations Vertical and Horizontal the same movement achieves two distinct spatial expressions. In the vertical form, smoke ascends gracefully along the object’s central axis. In the horizontal form, it drifts across the surface. Across both axes, perforation moves beyond mere functional detail to actively shape the direction, pace, and presence of smoke within space.

THE ORDER OF PERFORATION.

An exploration of the relationship between structured geometric form and rhythmic perforation.
Defined by crisp geometric contours, the object features a sequence of precise openings that introduce function, rhythm, and subtle movement to its surface. As incense is placed within each slot, smoke emerges in sequence transforming repetitive perforations into a quiet rhythm unfolding through space.

The collection is introduced in two new scents.

DRY CACHE describes seeds resting beneath dry wood, with their potential preserved and held intact until the right conditions arrive. It is presented with a brown lid and a corresponding bean-shaped ceramic element.

HUMID reflects a state of moisture that holds and supports seeds before growth begins. It is presented with a pale green lid, accompanied by a bean-shaped ceramic element.

IN GRAIN.

The Ceramic Incense Tray is developed under the concept of IN GRAIN as an exclusive piece for Copenn Songwat.

Each ceramic element takes the form of a different seed, translating the story of the surrounding area through objects associated with storage, preservation, and growth. The pieces are housed within an oval stainless steel case, introducing an industrial character that contrasts with the organic forms of the ceramic seeds. Fragrance may also be dropped directly onto the ceramic surface, allowing the object to extend beyond its function as an incense tray and add scent to the surrounding space.
