Internship USA program was designed to allow foreign professionals to come to the United States to gain exposure to U.S. business practices in their chosen occupational field. Upon completion of their exchange programs, participants are expected to return to their home countries where they will be able to utilize their newly learned skills and knowledge to advance their careers, and to share their

experiences with their communities. Career Training USA program is intended to provide exchange visitors the opportunity to enhance their skills in their chosen career field through participation in a structured training program and to improve their knowledge of American techniques, methodologies, or expertise within their field of endeavor. Hello World offers you two ways to participate in the Internship/Career Training USA program. You may choose to have us find an Internship for you (Full-Placement), or you can find your own internship and have us confirm it for you (Self-Placement).

Hampton Inn is a historic, family-friendly North Carolina mountain inn that has been bringing people together for generations. Located in rural Cashiers, North Carolina, the High Hampton is in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Inn offers golf, tennis, hiking, fly fishing, and a European spa on 1400 acres (567 Hectares).
The High Hampton Inn is offering Internships for 8 months (mid April – early December):

• 5 Culinary positions
o Assistant pastry chef (1) - $10/hour
o Line cook (1) - $10/hour
o Buffet stewards (3) - $8.50/hour
• 1 Front Desk - $10/hour
• 1 Dining Room Manager/M’aitre D
• 10 Hotel Interns working through various rotations, focus mainly in Food & Beverage

Interns who complete their program with an “EXCELLENT” review, will be assisted in securing an extended program in south Florida.
Housing is in small cottages built together in a community (like a summer camp) – they are well built, clean, safe, and fairly new. Each cottage is divided into two studios, sharing a front porch. In each studio are 2-3 bunk beds (4-6 people/studio – same gender), a full bath, closet, cabinets for clothes, sink, microwave, refrigerator. Laundry facilities are nearby in the hotel. Housing includes 3 meals/day when NOT working and 2 meals/day when working (interns can make a “to-go” plate at dinner the night before working and bring it to work next day for lunch (there is a microwave in the break room). These meals are free. Housing includes all utilities – except internet. However, those sharing the cottage can buy internet for $45 (total) per month. The cost of housing is $250/month.

The environment is really nice and the nature is beautiful. It really is like a summer camp. The people working there are like a big family. Cullasaja Country Club is a 2.77km2 neighborhood with 281 large homes sitting amidst the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the cool mountain air, flowing rivers and waterfalls, abundance of wildlife and botanic splendors. The club offers golf, tennis, social, and fitness clubs.

The Club has three dining areas. The Main Dining Room is warmed by a stone fireplace, the Terrace is an all-glass enclosed room that captures the beauty of the outdoor surroundings where guests often enjoy lunch, and the Pavilion with stone floors and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass doors opens to a spectacular view of the forest and golf course below.

Cullasaja Country Club is 4 miles from downtown Highlands. Many staff have cars and J-1 students have had no problem getting a ride into town to shop or enjoy the restaurants. Getting a second job at the grocery store is a nice possibility as one of the owners of Cullasaja also owns a grocery store and enjoys hiring the J-1 students.
