A valuable discussion on the future of privatisation and capital markets of Lao PDR.

Khun Yundyong Thantiviramanon recently joined, Mr. Siosavath THIRAKUL , CEO of Lao Securities Exchange (LSX), together with Dr. Somphop Sakpunpanom, Chairman of Asset Pro Management and Khun Krit Phanratanamala, Managing Director of Bualuang Ventures, to exchange views on capital market development and the privatisation of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Lao PDR.

It was encouraging to hear different perspectives and discuss how the public and private sectors can work together to support the continued development of Laos' financial ecosystem.

Baker Tilly Thailand brought colleagues, network friends, and partners together for our annual Baker Tilly Sport Day 2026 in Bangkok.

This year, we were delighted to welcome our special guests, including Chao Mu, our Asia Pacific Regional Director, May Thu Hlaing (May) from Baker Tilly Myanmar, together with our close friends and company’s advisors, Khun Krit Phanratanamala Managing Director of Bualaung Venture and Khun Monchai Varatthan Partner of Dherakupt International Law Office.

We kicked off the day with a trilled table tennis match between Team Thailand and Team China. The match was full of energy and impressive rallies, with Chao and Team China narrowly coming out on top. The badminton matches were equally entertaining, featuring players of all skill levels for an afternoon of friendly competition and lively atmosphere together.

We finished the day with an energetic Chairball and Futsal matches. Despite Advisory Team’s best efforts, the Audit Team once again claimed victory for both matches!

Sport Day was an opportunity to turns colleagues into friends and celebrate the teamwork that brings our community to life. We thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so memorable and meaningful. 😊

We had the pleasure of welcoming friends from across the Baker Tilly network: our Regional Director, Chao Mu, on his first visiting to our Thailand office May Thu Hlaing (May), Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Myanmar; Priyan Edirisinghe, Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Sri Lanka; and HuckHai L., Technology Partner of Baker Tilly Malaysia.

While the day began with discussions in our boardroom on business matters, we were delighted to spend time with our old friends, sharing updates on our lives, experiences, laughter, and perspectives on a wide range of topics.

Moments like these highlights what makes our network so special a community that fosters long-lasting friendships that extend far beyond our day-to-day business activities.
