⚒️ [12/05/2026] Workshop on How to Use the Mechatronics Textbook at Don Bosco
GTCC/GTDEE organised an introductory session on the use of the Mechatronics textbook following Don Bosco's procurement of the books for 19 mechatronics students in Por Wor Chor 1 level — marking the first intake of students into the Mechatronics Programme. The session was opened by the Senior Advisor to the Rector, followed by an introduction by Dr. Kamonsak Suradom, GTDEE Senior Manager.
Student feedback was highly positive, with participants expressing strong impressions of the textbook's quality — particularly its technical illustrations and the inclusion of modern reference materials comparable to those used in Germany. Don Bosco has begun implementing a five-year Mechatronics Programme aligned with German competency standards (BIBB) through its collaboration with GTDEE.
⚒️ [13/05/2026] CMB Mechatronics Apprenticeship Batch 2024 Graduation
Morning:
GTCC/GTDEE organised a workshop for a new batch of Chiangmai Technical College mechatronics apprentices, marking their first week of the CMB Mechatronics Apprenticeship Programme. The session introduced GTDEE, German mechatronics competency standards, and systematic thinking through group activities.
Afternoon:
Marius Mehner , GTCC Deputy Executive Director, and Dr. Kamonsak Suradom attended the Batch 2024 graduation ceremony at Chiangmai Beverage Co., Ltd. (CMB). The programme ran from June 2024 to 30 April 2026 at the Por Wor Sor level, delivered through a tripartite collaboration among CMB, RMUTL Tak Campus, and GTCC/GTDEE to German VET standards. All nine apprentices successfully completed their practical training, with certificates presented by Marius Mehner to the Deputy Factory Manager.
An MoU signing ceremony with Chiangmai Technical College followed, featuring remarks from Cholwait SukUdom (Boon Rawd Brewery) on the DVET programme objectives, a congratulatory address from Marius Mehner, and a closing speech by the Assistant Factory Manager. The Deputy Director and Head of Mechatronics Department of Chiangmai Technical College also participated.
The CMB Mechatronics Apprenticeship programme achieved a 26.67% female participation rate, reflecting SDG 5, and contributes to SDGs 4, 8, 12, and 17.
