The IOBA Association would like to congratulate the new Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, Dr. Thitiporn Laoprasert, on assuming the position.
Dr. Thitiporn Laoprasert (Noina), alumnus of Maejo University, Class of '52, majoring in freshwater fisheries (first class honors), Dr. Thitiporn is the "27th Director-General" and the second "female Director-General" in the 100-year history.
Dr Thitiporn is currently serving as the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries, Thailand. With over three decades of experience in aquatic animal health and fisheries management, she has held various key positions, including Inspector General, Provincial Fisheries Officer, and Director of the Aquatic Animal Health Research and Development Division. She holds a PhD in Veterinary Medicine from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University in Japan, an M.Sc. in Aquatic Pathobiology from the University of Stirling in the UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Maejo University, Thailand.

ดร.ฐิติพร หลาวประเสริฐ ศิษย์เก่ามหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ รุ่น 52 สาขาประมงน้ำจืด ( เกียรตินิยมอันอันดับ 1 ) ดร.ฐิติพร เป็น “อธิบดีคนที่ 27” และ “อธิบดีหญิง” คนที่ 2 ในประวัติศาสตร์ 100 ปี
ปัจจุบัน ดร. ฐิติพร ขึ้นดำรงตำแหน่งอธิบดีกรมประมง ด้วยประสบการณ์กว่าสามทศวรรษด้านสุขภาพสัตว์น้ำและการจัดการประมง เธอเคยดำรงตำแหน่งสำคัญหลายตำแหน่ง ได้แก่ ผู้ตรวจราชการ ประมงจังหวัด และผู้อำนวยการกองวิจัยและพัฒนาสุขภาพสัตว์น้ำ เธอสำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอก สาขาสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ จากมหาวิทยาลัย Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ปริญญาวิทยาศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาพยาธิชีววิทยาทางน้ำ จากมหาวิทยาลัย Stirling ในสหราชอาณาจักร และปริญญาตรี สาขาสัตวศาสตร์ จากมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ ประเทศไทย
