Truly an honor to host last night’s double book launch.
The evening celebrated 2 new publications: 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖: 𝙊𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 and 𝘼 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮. Authors 𝗗𝗿. Tobias Endress, Startup Grind Bangkok and David Galipeau 高德威 , Partner at SDGx Ventures shared key insights from their work and opened the floor for an engaging discussion. The session was designed as an interactive exchange - focused on real-world implications for startups and innovation leaders across the region.
𝗔 𝗙𝗲𝘄 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:
• Asia accounts for 46% of global spending and two-thirds of all patents - positioning the region not just as technology consumers, but as technology creators.

• A holistic approach is critical - success requires balancing environmental, social, and economic factors to create solutions that are both impactful and commercially viable.
• AI Sustainability is not predetermined ; it depends on strategic development across 3 pillars, shaped by environmental, economic, and social considerations.
• Leading companies in action:
- Microsoft: testing underwater data centers to reduce cooling costs
- Google: implementing carbon-aware computing to align workloads with clean energy availability
- Amazon: committing to 100% renewable energy for AWS
These books represent a significant body of research and what we explored was just a glimpse. Looking forward to diving deeper once I get my copies!
