Boatbuilding is a complex, materials-intensive process, and maintaining structured, controlled practices is a key part of how we operate.

Alongside the Pacifica 44 program, we’ve also been developing smaller platform concepts designed for a range of applications.

The Pacifica 17 is a 17ft platform that can be configured as a superyacht tender, resort transfer vessel, or recreational sports boat.

Designed around a modified catamaran hull with multiple propulsion options, the focus is on performance, simplicity, and adaptability across different use cases. Features such as shallow water capability and easy beach access make it well suited to a wide range of operating environments.

This concept is available for development and build, with configuration tailored to customers specific application requirements.

Build ex*****on across the factory is overseen by Richard Kosidlo, who previously operated his own boatbuilding business in Australia for over 25 years under RMK Marine.

As both General Manager and one of the owners of AsOne Yachts, Richard’s focus is on disciplined production processes and consistent build quality.

In addition to his boatbuilding background, Richard has extensive offshore sailing experience, having spent around eight years living aboard a catamaran with his wife Robyn, cruising the South Pacific and east coast of Australia, including regions such as Lord Howe Island, Vanuatu and New Caledonia.

Following this period, he returned to the industry and co-founded AsOne Yachts with his partners.

He works closely with our experienced Thai team across both the Tasman and Pacifica builds, ensuring each vessel is delivered to the same high standard.

The Pacifica 44 layout has been developed with extended liveaboard cruising in mind, including separation for two couples and practical storage for longer passages.

The onboard energy architecture is also designed to support quiet overnight air-conditioning operation from the lithium system.

Our team recently completed a full day of fire safety training conducted by Phetchaburi local fire authorities.

The training covered practical fire response procedures, equipment use, and emergency coordination.

Maintaining a safe working environment in the factory is a priority, and regular training helps ensure the team is prepared.

One of the key design directions behind the Pacifica 44 is eliminating the need for a conventional generator onboard.

The vessel is being developed around a large capacity lithium house bank of 40 kWh, supported by solar input and high-output alternators while underway.

This architecture is intended to support typical onboard loads, including overnight air-conditioning and normal galley appliances, without relying on a generator.

For cruising owners this means quiet nights at anchor, reduced mechanical complexity, and lower ongoing maintenance compared with traditional generator-dependent systems.

We will share more detail on the energy architecture as installation progresses.

Pacifica 44 design is led by Paul Bury, whose background spans advanced engineering and a wide range of marine and marina design projects.

Paul originally trained in aerospace engineering before moving into marine design, where he has spent many years developing innovative vessels and waterfront infrastructure.

His focus on the Pacifica program has been clear from the beginning: deliver long range efficiency without unnecessary system complexity.

Over the coming months we will share more of the thinking behind some of the key design decisions shaping the Pacifica 44.
