Breathe Deep is a slow, structured class that combines gentle movement, breathing exercises, and long-held yin style postures designed to improve breathing capacity, rib mobility, and overall ease of breath.
We begin with gentle movement to warm the body and bring awareness to posture and breath. This is followed by freedive-inspired stretches that focus on the ribs, chest, spine, and diaphragm — areas that directly affect how much space the lungs can access.
The middle of the class is a 25–30 minute guided breathing practice, using accessible pranayama and functional breathing exercises. These practices are designed to strengthen and relax the muscles of respiration, improve control of the breath, and support nervous system regulation.
In the final part of class, we slow down into yin-style postures, allowing the tissues around the lungs, shoulders, and upper back to soften and integrate the work. This closing section supports deeper release and helps the breath settle naturally.
Throughout the class, the focus is on expanding the space around the lungs, improving rib and spinal mobility, and learning how to breathe with more efficiency and less effort.
Suitable for all levels.
No previous breathwork or yoga experience is required.
