“ต้นปาล์มทุกต้นควรมีตัวตน”
ตอนที่ 1 : ทำไมประเทศไทยยังแก้ปัญหาปลอมปนไม่ได้
เราพูดเรื่องปัญหา “ปาล์มปลอม”
กันมานานกว่าสิบปี
แต่จนถึงวันนี้
ปัญหาก็ยังไม่หายไปจริง
เพราะสิ่งที่เราขาดจริงๆ
อาจไม่ใช่แค่ “กฎหมาย”
แต่คือ
“จริยธรรม ความรับผิดชอบ และระบบข้อมูลต้นทาง”
วันนี้ เกษตรกรชาวสวนปาล์มน้ำมันจำนวนมาก
ยังไม่สามารถตอบได้ว่า:
• ต้นกล้าที่ปลูกคือพันธุ์อะไร และมาจากแปลงเพาะไหน
• เมล็ดที่ใช้ เป็นเมล็ดนำเข้าจริงหรือไม่ และมาจากล็อตใด
• ใครคือผู้ผลิตที่แท้จริง
• เป็นต้นกล้าปาล์มน้ำมันลูกผสม DxP ตามเกณฑ์จริงหรือไม่
• ใครเป็นผู้รับรอง
• รับรองด้วยวิธีใด
• และสามารถตรวจสอบย้อนหลังได้หรือไม่
เมื่อไม่มีตัวตน
ก็ไม่มีความรับผิดชอบ
และเมื่อ “ความเชื่อใจ”
เพียงอย่างเดียวไม่เพียงพออีกต่อไป
ระบบและข้อมูล
จึงกลายเป็นรากฐานสำคัญ
ของความน่าเชื่อถือที่แท้จริง
เพราะเมื่อไม่มีข้อมูลที่ตรวจสอบได้
ทุกอย่างก็อาจเป็นได้เพียง
“คำกล่าวอ้าง”
กระดุมเม็ดแรกของอุตสาหกรรมปาล์มน้ำมันไทย
อาจไม่สามารถพาเราเดินไปสู่อนาคตได้อย่างมั่นคง
หากเรายังไม่เริ่มจาก:
“การทำให้ต้นปาล์มทุกต้นมีตัวตน”

EP1: Why Thailand Still Cannot Solve the Problem of Fake Oil Palm Seeds and Seedlings
Thailand has been talking about the issue of “fake oil palm seeds and seedlings” for more than a decade.
Yet until today,
the problem has never truly disappeared.
Because what we are truly lacking
may not simply be stricter laws.
What we are missing is:
“ethics, accountability
and a trustworthy upstream data system.”
Today, many oil palm smallholders still cannot confidently answer:
• What variety are the seedlings they planted, and which nursery did they come from?
• Were the seeds genuinely imported, and from which batch?
• Who was the actual producer?
• Are these truly DxP hybrid oil palm seedlings according to industry standards?
• Who certified them?
• By what verification method?
• And can they truly be traced and audited?
When there is no identity,
there is no accountability.
And when trust alone is no longer enough,
systems and data become the only real foundation of credibility.
Because without reliable and verifiable data,
everything eventually becomes nothing more than a claim.
The very first foundation of Thailand’s oil palm industry may never move confidently into the future
if we do not begin with:
“giving every oil palm seedlings an identity.”
