St. Kitts & Nevis just opened a citizenship pathway for its overseas descendants - a gap that has existed since Independence in 1983 is finally being bridged.

The Cabinet has approved the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2026, allowing eligible adults born abroad to apply for citizenship through a parent or grandparent who became a citizen at Independence.

If you qualify, here's what you need to know:
- Born outside St. Kitts & Nevis on or after September 19, 1983
- Parent or grandparent became a citizen at Independence
- Must provide proof of family relationship
- Subject to security and legal requirements
- Not automatic - a formal application process applies

Grenada CBI applicants - Here's an important update you need to know.
The 30-day residence requirement, previously scheduled to take effect on 31 August 2026, has been officially deferred by the Investment Migration Agency Grenada.

What this means:
- The requirement has NOT been cancelled - just delayed
- Implementation is pending the operationalisation of ECCIRA
- A new date will only be confirmed once member states formally agree

The Grenada CBI programme continues to run as normal. But as with all regulatory updates, staying informed is everything.

المتقدمون لبرنامج الجنسية عن طريق الاستثمار في غرينادا — إليكم تحديثًا مهمًا يجب معرفته.
تم رسميًا تأجيل تطبيق شرط الإقامة لمدة 30 يومًا، والذي كان من المقرر أن يدخل حيز التنفيذ في 31 أغسطس 2026، من قبل وكالة الهجرة الاستثمارية في غرينادا.

ماذا يعني ذلك؟
