It was an honor, during the 6th CAMTURK Congress, to meet His Excellency the Ambassador of Cameroon to Turkey, His Excellency the Ambassador of Gabon (Dean of African Ambassadors), as well as Mr. Ömer Faruk Doğan, former Ambassador of Turkey to Cameroon. These encounters remind us how protocol and etiquette serve as essential bridges between diplomacy and the support of our student youth.

Women Mean Business: Command the Room Through Your Voice
Your voice is not just a sound; it is a statement of leadership.

Does it deliver the impact you intend?

Does it convey the elegance you embody?

no “um” • no “ah” • no “like.”

→ Don’t speak too fast
Slow down • Articulate • enunciate.

→ Use an authoritative voice

→ Use body language

Luxury Hospitality Is No Longer Just Service

In luxury hospitality, protocol is no longer limited to visible service codes; it is now expressed through the quality of strategic and committed alliances.

Partnerships have become true markers of positioning, revealing a vision of excellence built on coherence, anticipation, and continuity of experience.

This evolution reflects a more mature form of luxury, guided by relational intelligence and mastery of detail.

The collaboration between Radisson Blu and BNW Developments illustrates this integrated approach, combining high-end hospitality with luxury residences.

Training without intention produces compliance, not commitment

In response to the relevant question raised in the Hotelier Middle East article — “Do hospitality staff development programmes really work?” — I would add the following insights.

The issue is not the lack of training in hospitality, but rather the very nature of these programmes. Too often, they focus on what to do, without ever transmitting the how or the why, and even less on integrating the individual being trained.
In premium environments, training can no longer be approached as a standard or mechanical learning process. It must transmit a posture, a culture, and a vision. This is precisely where business etiquette and protocol regain their full relevance — not as elitist disciplines, but as strategic levers to restore the human value of service.
Etiquette is a process of appropriation: it is understood, lived, and embodied. When designed with coherence, it goes beyond operational performance to establish a true culture of representation and excellence.
The most perceptive organisations are now reintegrating it at the heart of their training programmes to restore meaning to roles, reinforce individual responsibility, and re-anchor behavioural coherence. Teams feel valued and learn to read their environment, understand the company culture, identify its codes, and adapt their actions accordingly.
In luxury, etiquette constitutes the very foundation of excellence. It develops relational intelligence, attention to detail, and the essential ability to transform invisible standards into memorable experiences. It also strengthens a sense of belonging, loyalty, and engagement.
Training without posture creates executors.
Training with purpose creates ambassadors.
And it is precisely this embodiment that creates a lasting competitive advantage.
