Thomas Cook has ceased trading

https://thomascook.caa.co.uk

Thomas Cook has confirmed that all the UK companies in its group have ceased trading, including Thomas Cook Airlines.

As a result, we are sorry to inform you that all holidays and flights provided by these companies have been cancelled and are no longer operating. All Thomas Cook's retail shops have also closed.

The Government and the Civil Aviation Authority are now working together to do everything we can to support passengers due to fly back to the UK with Thomas Cook between 23 September 2019 and 6 October 2019. Depending on your location, this will be either on CAA-operated flights or by using existing flights with other airlines.

If you are already abroad you will find all the information you need about your arrangements to get home on this website.

If you are due to depart from a UK airport with Thomas Cook Airlines, please do not travel to your UK airport as your flight will not be operating and you will not be able to travel.

This repatriation is hugely complex and we are working around the clock to support passengers.

Customers already abroad
If you are currently abroad and your flight was with Thomas Cook we are providing new flights to return you to the UK. These repatriation flights will only be operating for the next two weeks (until 6 October 2019). After this date you will have to make your own travel arrangements. From a small number of locations, passengers will have to book their own return flights.

For further advice and details of your return journey please read I am currently abroad. Please note that repatriation flights are only available for passengers whose journey originated in the UK.

If you are currently abroad and due to return to the UK after 6 October 2019, please read the additional information section.

If you are ATOL-protected and are having difficulties with your hotel, please read managing difficulties with accommodation.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of Thomas Cook's package holiday bookings include flights with airlines unrelated to the Thomas Cook Group. If your return flight is not with Thomas Cook's airline, it will still be valid. However other elements of the package, such as accommodation and transfers will be affected.

Customers yet to travel out of the UK
We are sorry to inform you that all future holidays and flights booked with Thomas Cook are cancelled as of 23 September 2019.

If you are booked on a Thomas Cook Airlines flight, please do not go to your UK airport, as your flight will not be operating. The Civil Aviation Authority’s repatriation programme will not include any outbound flights from the UK.

If you choose to book a new flight with another airline out of the UK, you will not be eligible for a repatriation flight.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of Thomas Cook's package holiday bookings include flights with airlines unrelated to the Thomas Cook Group. If your return flight is not with Thomas Cook's airline it may still be valid. However other elements of the package, such as accommodation and transfers might be affected.

We know that this is a very distressing time for Thomas Cook's customers, both those currently overseas and those yet to travel.

TRADITIONAL TURKISH BREAKFAST

A meat free (vegetarian) healthy Turkish breakfast. I have never been a fan of the traditional English breakfast. Mainly because I do not eat meat. Also, it is hardly a healthy start to the day. However, each to their own.

I have always loved the Turkish breakfast. It is healthy and filling and looks just great. If you get the chance when in Turkey, look for the village breakfast. The food will just keep on coming, and you will not need lunch.

Fried eggs (in Olive Oil), olives, cream, butter, prunes, 4 - 5 kinds of cheese, Turkish Tea, tomatoes, potatoes, honey, cherry jam the list goes on.

The meal you see was 55TL and more that enough for 3 people. w is that for value?

ALEPPO SOAP IS NOT JUST YOUR STANDARD BAR

Aleppo Soap History

Aleppo Laurel Olive Castile Soap

The verified origins of Aleppo soap is unknown. Unverified claims of its great antiquity abound, such as its supposed use by Queen Cleopatra of Egypt and Queen Zenobia of Syria. It is commonly thought that the process of soap-making emanated from the region of which Aleppo is a main city and to have moved west from there to Europe after the first Crusades. This is based on the claim that the earliest soap made in Europe was shortly after the Crusades, but soap was known to the Romans in the first century AD and Zosimos of Panopolis described soap and soap making in ca. 300 AD.

Aleppo soap is named after the city in which it was first made – Aleppo, Syria. The first documented production of Aleppo soap dates back to the 8th century, though many say that it existed well before that and some say that it is the oldest soap in the world – a veritable soap forefather, if you will. The city of Aleppo lies in the northwest corner of Syria, and for centuries, was a bustling trade centre. The soap was also made in neighbouring ancient Antioch, Antakya in Turkey and still is today.

Aleppo soap benefits and uses

Aleppo soap can be used by anyone looking for a natural, chemical and colour free soap, but it it is known to also help a variety of skin problems. The olive oil used to make this soap gives it a creamy consistency and makes it especially gentle and moisturising.

Olive oil contains valuable antioxidants, helps restore your skin’s natural balance, it has a mild anti-inflammatory effect reducing redness and irritation and it is usually well tolerated even by the most sensitive skin types.

Laurel oil is what makes Aleppo (Laurel/Dephne/Ghar) soap potent. When it comes to its known healing properties, various skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, herpes, bacterial dermatitis, fungal infections, irritated skin, dandruff, seborrhoea, dermatitis and others can be eased.

Laurel oil is known to help with all of these ailments not only because it is a 100% natural but also its properties include strong antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal agents. Even if you’re already on a treatment prescribed by a certified healthcare practitioner, Aleppo soap can be an effective complementary remedy.

If you don’t have any particular skin problem, the laurel oil in Aleppo soap still makes it a more effective disinfectant than regular soap but it also doesn’t over-dry your skin or cause irritation. Nevertheless, it is much safer than the advertised antibacterial soaps which contain antibiotics and long-term are said to lead to antibiotic resistant bacteria and various health problems.

Laurel Oil

Laurel berry has been made traditionally for centuries and mainly used for soap making that are proven to have beneficial features. Laurel Berry Oil could be used as an ingredient in creams, shampoos, liquid soaps and in massage oils.

Laurel berries are handpicked by villagers every laurel season just in the same way as Olive’s are picked each year. Each household within the villages collect different quantities to sell every season and this is usually their main source of income. Most of the Laurel Trees are located in Turkey and depending on how plentiful the crop for the season is, effects the price of this precious expensive.

It is a great time to buy the Turkish Lira.
I will not go into the politics here as this is a politics free zone.
This is forecast as a temporary blip, so Iam sure investors will take the opportunity to buy Turkish Lara and sell again when it recovers.

If buying Turkish Lira, avoid the banks at all costs. The rates they give are very poor indeed as you can see fro the image. Not only will the bank fleece you on the exchange rate, they will charge you for the privilege of being ripped off.

Use a foreign exchange agents like Azimo. Quick convenient, and it makes economical sense.

Azimo is the faster, safer way to send money abroad. Here's 10 GBP off your first transfer. https://azimo.com/en/invite/redirect/token/SIMONC50,
