On August 29, 2023, it was a great pleasure to meet with Mr. Ozan Gürsoy, Deputy General Manager of Türkiye İş Bankası, at the İş Bankası Towers in Istanbul.

Even passing through the security checks of three friendly and smiling security officers before reaching the floor where our meeting took place was a pleasant little journey. 😊

Actually, the story behind this meeting goes much further back — to 2011.

At the first training programs organized by WSEIN — World Sustainable Energy Institute, we had the pleasure of hosting the İş Bankası team in Austria.

Thanks to the vision and foresight of Mr. Ersin Özince, we had the opportunity at that time to welcome Mr. Ozan Gürsoy and Mr. Murat Bilgiç to Austria.

We presented sustainable city solutions in Austria and then visited the city of Güssing together. 🇦🇹🌱

Looking at where we are today, it is truly a source of pride to see Ozan Bey now serving as Vice Chairman of the Board, while Murat Bey has become Chairman of the Board of TSKB. 👏

Seeing our paths cross again after so many years is a wonderful reminder of the value of the right vision, long-term relationships and sustainable cooperation.

🇹🇷 It was also a great pleasure to observe the positive energy of the employees of “The Bank of Türkiye” — İş Bankası, its strong corporate culture, and its pioneering work in the field of sustainability.
