Foreigners who are students in Turkey cannot work on a student residence permit, but they can work within the borders of the country by obtaining a work permit. If an application for a work permit extension will not be made later or if the application is rejected, it is necessary to apply for student residence in order to stay in Turkey legally.

Türkiye’ye öğrenci olan yabancılar öğrenciyken çalışamazlar ancak çalışma izni alarak ülke sınırları içerisinde çalışabilirler. Daha sonrasında çalışma izni uzatma başvurusunda bulunmayacaklarsa veya reddedildiyse yasal olarak Türkiye’de kalmak için öğrenci ikametine başvurmaları gerekmektedir.
