TAX, FEES & FINES INCREASES FOR 2023
Another new year heralds a raft of tax/fees increases. It's still early in the year to have all the increases being announced to show you, but most will be increasing by 122%, with the exception of vehicle [road] tax which increased by 61%. So you can get out your calculators and work out most increased totals.
Regarding SGK premiums for foreigners,this we are still awaiting an official announcement..
The Surgery files will be updated in the next week or so, when all the new fees/taxes have been made public..
This will be the only post listing increases [therefore keeping the information all in one place] & will be updated by me as and when new increases are announced over the next week or so.
Here are a few which have already been officially announced. .
Mobile phone[ registration tax] brought from abroad. 6090tl.
Residence Permit plastic card 356tl
Single entry fee for 1st RP applications 2304tl
TUV FEES 2023
For, motorcycles/scooters and motorized bicycles, tractors 575tl
Cars, Minibus, Pickup Truck, Special Purpose Vehicle, Off-road Vehicle, Trailer and Semi-Trailer 1130tl
For buses, trucks, tow trucks and tankers, 1528tl
No info regarding the cost of the emissions test yet..
Some motoring fines for 2023....
Driving through a red light 951 TL.
Speeding by 10-30 percent over the posted limit is 951 TL.
Exceeding the speed limit by 30 percent - 50 percent 1979 TL,
exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 percent 4 thousand 64 TL.
Non-use of seat belt 436 liras.
Fine for using mobile phone while driving 951 TL.
Pedestrians jaywalking 888 TL.
Riding a motorcycle/scooter/ electric scooter without a helmet 196 TL. + risk of confiscation of the bike/scooter.
The first drink driving offence will be 4 thousand 64 TL, the second time will be 5 thousand 96 TL
Refusing to take an alcohol test 8,551 TL
Driving an uninspected [TUV] vehicle and overtaking in a forbidden place both 951 TL.
Driving without a license or expired/non valid licence 8,900 TL.
Drug driving 20,977 TL.
The penalty for showing a fake license plate 20,302 TL, while driving a vehicle without a license plate is 2,312 TL.
Driving without traffic insurance from 196 TL to 436 TL,
Not complying with the following distance[ tailgating] from 196 TL to 436 TL,
Altering a license plate from being readable 1671 TL.
Not giving priority to pedestrians at the entrance and exit of pedestrian crossings or school crossings and intersections 888 TL
Not wearing helmets and safety glasses 196TL
Throwing rubbish from vehicles 196 TL.
Tax threshold payable by landlords on annual property rental income is 21,000tl
