ضمن المرحلة التجريبية الثانية من مبادرة تهدئة الشوارع "شوارع آمنة ومستدامة لأطفالنا"، تم تنفيذ رسومات ميدانية على الشارع الرئيسي والأرصفة المحيطة بمدرسة أم السماق الشمالي الثانوية المختلطة، بمشاركة مدربين مختصين ومتطوعين من مركز زها الثقافي والمجتمع المحلي.
تأتي هذه الرسومات كجزء من التدخلات المؤقتة التي تهدف إلى تحسين البيئة المدرسية وتعزيز السلامة المرورية، من خلال تصميم مساحة حضرية تراعي احتياجات الأطفال ومقدمي الرعاية، وتعزز وعي السائقين بوجود الأطفال في محيط المدرسة.
وتمتد المرحلة التجريبية الثانية لمدة تتراوح بين 3 إلى 6 أشهر، يتم خلالها متابعة أثر هذه التدخلات، وفهم سلوك المستخدمين، وجمع الملاحظات اللازمة لتطوير حلول مستدامة وأكثر استجابة لاحتياجات المجتمع.

As part of the second pilot phase of the Street Calming Initiative "Safe and Sustainable Streets for Our Children", street paintings were implemented on the main road and sidewalks surrounding Um Al Sumaq Al Shamali Secondary Mixed School, with the participation of trained facilitators and volunteers from Zaha Cultural Center and the local community.
These paintings are part of temporary interventions designed to improve the school environment and enhance road safety by creating a more child- and caregiver-friendly public space while increasing drivers' awareness of children’s presence around the school.
