The Turkish President announced that life will begin to return to its normal gradually on May 11 this month, after a meeting held on Monday evening by the Turkish government regarding the current situation of Coronavirus, this announcement came after several preventive measures that The government has taken to reduce the spread of coronaviruses.
Among the points that the Turkish President reference about it during the conference:
• For weeks we have been taking strict measures to prevent Coronavirus, thank God we have succeeded in reducing the number of deaths and injuries very significantly.
• We are beginning to reap the benefits of the curfew that we imposed on 31 states.
• 83 million Turkish citizens solidarity with us to fight the virus.
• We will work to return life to its normal, step by step.
• Using the mask during the next three months period is mandatory, in addition to social distancing and health measures.
• Allowing for 65 years old people leaving home for 4 hours only, starting next Sunday, May 10, with the necessary health measures, between 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• For 20 years old people will be separated into two groups. The first group, between the ages of 1 to 15, will be able to leave on Wednesday, May 13, and those between 15 and 20 will be able to leave on Friday, May 15 with the same timing and conditions.
• From this night, we will stop the curfew on 7 states, namely Antalya, Aydın, Erzurum, Hatay, Mersin, Malatya, and Mugla, and we will conduct an assessment and make decisions according to the commitment, while the remaining 24 states will continue the ban for the next two weeks.
• On May 11, barbershops will be allowed to start their business.
• For clothing, shoes, shopping malls, and home appliances stores, they will be allowed to work on May 11 as well.
• We will allow selling the masks, but at a reduced price, anyone who thinks of selling masks at high prices will take a penalty.
• Regarding the Hajj, the Religious Affairs Department will consult and discuss with its counterparts in Islamic countries and then give the final decision whether or not there will be a Hajj season for this year.
• As for ِArmy and payment of the allowance, it will be reinstated from next June 20.
• As for the educational sector, the medical authority and the Ministry of Health have taken the necessary measures.
• For high school students, the college entrance examination will be on the 27th and 28th of next June.
• Courts will return to follow-up on cases beginning June 15.
• We will continue to enforce the curfew this weekend.
